Welcome to February! Now that we are gearing up for personal tax season, this may be our last blog for a few months. However, our email inbox and phone lines are always open. If you or someone you know is interested in selling their practice, please feel free to connect with us at any time (even on this year's deadline of May 2nd!).
We have a practice in interior BC that is tentatively available, with gross revenues of $1.3M. The 2 partners have not formally signed on with us, but they are seriously considering their retirement plans. If you are a committed buyer with financial resources in place, please contact us. We will make an introduction for those who may be a good fit.
With the busy season coming, we are making our updates to our annual personal tax checklist. The online checklist is one of our favourite tools and essential to the smooth preparation of personal taxes. We use the platform JotForm, which offers a user-friendly interface to easily create and share forms. You can preview the 2020 checklist as seen by our clients on our website here.
Every year, we send the checklist as a link to our current and prospective clients. The link is visible as a page on our website, so it is easy for clients to access if they miss the email. After a client completes the form and clicks "Submit," the checklist is sent directly to our general email inbox for further processing. Clients are then directed to the submission page for our Dropbox folder so they can quickly upload their documents.
As a gift to our subscribers, we are happy to offer the template for your own use at no cost. The template is available for download here. The only thing to personalize is to enter your firm's email address under the Settings tab / Emails. This is the email address the notifications will be sent to when someone submits your checklist.
